Community Bone Health: A Multicentre UK Audit
Dr Puneet Srivastava contributed to a large, multicentre quality-improvement project and audit across the UK — led alongside leading osteoporosis authority Dr Michelle Hui — examining bone-health awareness in the community. The project delivered structured bone-health education to over 1,300 participants across sports enthusiasts, healthcare professionals and the general public, demonstrating that targeted education measurably improves knowledge and drives real lifestyle changes for better bone health.

At University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Puneet Srivastava led a multidisciplinary initiative to establish a dedicated osteoporosis screening pathway for patients with breast and prostate cancer receiving cancer treatment. The initiative introduced a systematic approach to identifying patients at risk of treatment-related bone loss, enabling earlier assessment and management of skeletal health and contributing to improvements in the screening and clinical management of this patient group.

Successfully designed and ran a dedicated fibromyalgia pilot programme in the UK, delivering a structured, multidisciplinary approach to pain, fatigue and function — with measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
Complex Vasculitis & Connective Tissue Disease
Developed advanced expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex vasculitis (such as GPA, MPA, PAN and giant cell arteritis) and connective tissue diseases (including lupus, scleroderma, myositis and overlap syndromes) — refined through close mentorship from UK industry leaders including Dr Marian Regan, Dr Nicholas Raj, Dr Michelle Hui and Dr Tina Ding.
